2020 was a very challenging and difficult year for classical music, cultural activities as well as for everyone indeed. Despite the challenges Mozarteum Hellas participated just before the start of the pandemic in the 2020 Mozart Week and the annual working session of the Mozart communities. On Monday 27 January 2020, the day of birth of Mozart, the First Annual General Meeting of Mozarteum Hellas was held during which the Board of Directors was elected. During 2020 Mozarteum Hellas organised two concerts for its members, one during the Annual General Meeting on the 15 of February and the other one on the 13 of July the Mozarteum Hellas summer concert. Unfortunately due to the lockdown Mozarteum Hellas couldn’t organize any other event with physical presence. Finally, in November Mozarteum Hellas participated in the virtual Mozarttag. Mozarteum Hellas is planning and has started working on a number of events for 2021.
On Monday 15 February 2021 Mozarteum Hellas will host the first event of the year, i.e. its AGM & Conference. Due to COVID-19, unfortunately, the first events of this year will take place virtually. Mozarteum Hellas is pleased, though, to invite you to its virtual event. The 2021 Mozarteum Hellas AGM & Conference is under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy in Athens and Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation. In the event Mozarteum Hellas will have the honour to receive a welcome address by the Ambassador of Austria in Athens, HE Hermine Poppeller. Dr Tobias Debuch, CEO of Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation will deliver the keynote address and of Dr Ulrich Leisinger, Head of Research Department will make the presentation of the new Mozart piece “94 seconds”, a reconstructed work that made the world premiere in the digital Mozart week on Wednesday 27 January 2021.
Mozarteum Hellas requests the pleasure of your attendance at the 2021 Mozarteum Hellas Annual General Meeting & Conference to be held online via Zoom (please login by 17:50) HERE
