Professor Dr. Andreas Papatheodorou, President, Hellenic Aviation Society: Air transport is still navigating uncharted waters because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccinations and appropriate treatments let us gradually see the end of the tunnel, but it is still too early to claim victory over the pandemic. Re-engineering the aviation business model will prove necessary to get back into profitability. Aviation stakeholders should work together in the post COVID-19 era to deal with supply-chain frictions and explore synergies to meet both old and new challenges including climate change. Collaboration is essential for the sector to take-off again in a sustainable manner: but we are ready to succeed and fly over the clouds once again!
